Karen Good Marable hails from the HBCU-town of Prairie View, Texas. Her essays and journalism have appeared in The New Yorker, NPR.org, Essence, Seventeen, and Interview, among other publications. She has also contributed to several books including And It Don’t Stop: The Best American Hip Hop Journalism of the Last 25 Years. A graduate of Howard University, Karen recently earned her MFA at The Writer’s Foundry of St. Joseph’s College. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia. .
